Manhattan Dysport

Manhattan Dysport injections are an effective method of riding the face of aging signs such as forehead and brow wrinkles, and smile-lines around the eyes. The clinical effect of Dysport is similar to Botox Cosmetic. The medicine weakens the facial muscles that cause wrinkling of the overlying skin, causing a smoothing effect on the skin. Dysport is different from Botox Cosmetic in regard to its dosage and tissue diffusion characteristics. Dysport is currently undergoing phase three trials for FDA approval in the US. Dysport has been approved in Europe (marketed as Dysport) for over fifteen years, and has been found to be safe and effective.

Dr. Khosh is uniquely competent to administer Manhattan Dysport injections into the face because of his training and qualification as a board certified facial plastic surgeon and board certified head and neck surgeon. An in depth knowledge of facial anatomy and muscle physiology allows Dr. Khosh to administer Dysport injections with precision, thereby maximizing effects and minimizing any risk. The procedure is performed as a part of a routine office consultation, and typically lasts 10 minutes. Patients may apply makeup immediately after the treatment, and return to work or other daily activities. Results usually last four months.

Dysport injections represent a marvelous choice in non-surgical facial rejuvenation in Manhattan. The cosmetic benefits of Dysport though, are limited to the brow and lateral orbital (eye) region. Botox cannot be used in the mid or lower face to treat lines or depressions. A number of other treatments can be offered to enhance the mid or lower face in a non-surgical fashion.
