Surprisingly, most facial plastic surgical procedures have little discomfort.  The level of discomfort varies based on the extent of the procedure employed.  Dr. Khosh performs most of his surgeries under general anesthesia.  With available technology, general anesthesia is as safe,if not the safer than techniques involving sedation.  Following surgery, most patients do not need pain medicine past the first two to three days after surgery.

In general, most patients may return to physical exercise two weeks following their surgery.  Many patients feel tired in the first two days following the surgery as a consequence of anesthesia.  In order to minimize risk of bleeding, we suggest activities that may significantly increase your heart rate or blood pressure for two weeks following the surgery.  Following that period, it is best to listen to your own body in terms of rapidity in which you return to your normal physical activity regimens.  Should you have further questions, Dr. Khosh will be happy to discuss your questions on individual basis.
